AUSTIN REAL ESTATE MARKET STRONG
AUSTIN (abor.com) – Sales of single-family homes were up 16 percent this January compared with January 2005,
according to the latest Multiple Listing Service report from the Austin Board of Realtors.
Single-family home sales totaled 1,556. At $165,750, the median price was 12 percent higher than a year earlier.
New listings dropped 7 percent to 3,165 and active listings fell 11 percent to 7,143. The average time on the market was 78 days.
Townhouse and condominium sales were also up. Sales in this category came to 127.
