Austin Neighborhoods  

Central Austin

Central Austin includes university neighborhoods, museums, art and cultural activities, shopping, condos and downtown lofts. Downtown is bustling with new construction along the famous Sixth Street and downtown as well as reclamation of older neighborhoods.

 

 

South Central Austin

South Central Austin has neighborhoods that are being renovated and are often in high demand because of the short commute to the city heart.  A highly desirable close-in area in which renovation is occurring is along south of the river along Congress Avenue.  New neighborhoods with new construction are appearing in many areas around the city as well.

 

 

North Austin

North Austin is home to a mix of affordable homes and premium properties. 

 

 

West Austin

West Austin is a highly desirable area at the edge of the Texas Hill Country featuring dramatic hills and valleys.  Homes are built looking out over the sides of steep hills, with stunning views of the Austin skyline, the capital area, the hill country and area lakes.  Eanes School District is well recognized for its excellence!

 

 

East and Southeast Austin

East and Southeast Austin are more affordable areas in the city.  The new Austin airport, Bergstrom International Airport, is located southeast of Austin.  The old airport area is being renovated as a hip, highly desirable area of town.

 

 

Northwest  Austin

Northwest Austin is a suburb of Austin with many highly educated and trained residents. Excellent schools entice families to move into these areas.  Property values are on the higher end but affordable for most families.

Pflugerville

Pflugerville is located to the north of Austin just south of Round Rock.  This area is a growing community with many high tech companies including Dell Computer Corp.  Pflugerville is known for its great school system.  It is easy to commute to Austin from Pflugerville.

   

Round Rock

Round Rock is a town just north of Austin with many highly educated and trained residents.  Round Rock is known for it's award winning school system.  Round Rock is booming with a new University Campus, a new IKEA store, new outlet malls, the new HEB Plus, and several new hospitals.  Dell Diamond Baseball stadium is located here as well.

   
   


Areas of Austin are ripe for investment opportunities.  Austin has a large number of skilled workers needing rental housing.  In addition, the University of Texas brings in up to 50,000 students a year, many of whom rent apartments to live in during their college years!  The suburbs offer a great selection of properties for rental homes.  Many older subdivisions nearer in are being rejuvenated with an influx of younger families who choose not to commute so many hours a day into the city.  Properties nearer the heart of the city often command a high price tag and are in high demand.
